The Moji area, where passenger cruise ships call, has a rich natural beauty.
Visitors can easily go to the Mojiko Retro Historic District on foot.
They can experience Japanese from the Edoperiod, Kokura Castle and its
Japanese Garden. Moreover, we can offer not only seeing these sights but
also experience-based sightseeing. The four seasons of Moji are varied.
Although it is appropriate for the vessels to call at Moji at any time,
the best time is July and August because of our summer festivals.
The New Kitakyushu Offshore Airport, open 24 hours a day, is scheduled to open
in March 16 2006, and will make it possible to combine flying and cruise travel. |

(7) Akiyoshidai Plateau
Akiyoshido Cave |
Akiyoshidai Plateau is the
biggest karst tableland in Japan. It is at altitudes between
200 meters and 400 meters above sea level and an area about
130 square kilo meters. Limestone, white rock surface, extends
on a vast expanse of field and it presents a grand spectacle.
Akiyoshido Cave, 100 meters below ground of Akiyoshidai,
is the biggest calcareous cave in Japan. 1 kilo meter out
of 10 kilo meters gross length is opened. The temperature
reads 17 degrees Celsius. Approximate time required is one
hour or two. |

(8)Aso Volcano
Beppu Onsen(Spa) |
The circumference of Mt.
Aso, the longest caldera in the world, is about 100 kilo
meters around. In the caldera, there are 5 volcanoes and
Aso Nakadake , one of them, continues a volcanic activity.
Mountain summit could be reached by the aerial cableway.
Visitors could experience noble landscape and feel the strength
of nature.
In Beppu there are 2,848 fountainheads, the world’s
largest number. The volume of hot water coming from the spring
is 13kilo liters per day, the most in Japan. We would like you to experience hot spring bath, which is traditional Japanese culture.
Beppu, as one of the most renowned resorts has a lot of tourist
spots, e.g. Beppu Jigoku Meguri (Hell Tour). |

Hiroshima is famous for world
heritages, Hiroshima Peace Memorial (A-bomb Dome)and Itsukushima
Shinto Shrine at Miyajima. Miyajima island had been faith in God. It remains a lot of rich natural environment, as
one of the three exquisite views in Japan. Other tourist spots
are Hiroshima Castle and the like. |
